However, their use is still far from taking advantage of the wide range of possibilities that GPS offers. The SIAPAS application goes one step further by adding new functionality to the typical GPS-based map. SIAPAS runs on a PDA and it allows drivers to find a parking space that suits their needs inside a parking lot. This paper describes how the system has been designed and implemented, and shows the results of some experiments that have been carried out to test its utility and usability. %B On the Move to Meaningful Internet Systems 2006: OTM 2006 Workshops %I Springer %C Montpellier, France %P 945–954 %8 11/2006 %G eng %U https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/11915034_119 %R https://doi.org/10.1007/11915034_119 %> http://nil.fdi.ucm.es/sites/default/files/monet06-paper20.pdf %0 Journal Article %J Revista de la Facultad de Ingeniería %D 2005 %T A Software Architecture for Intelligent Virtual Environments Applied to Education %A Angélica de Antonio %A Jaime Ramírez %A Imbert, Ricardo %A Gonzalo Méndez %A Aguilar, Raúl Antonio %B Revista de la Facultad de Ingeniería %I {Universidad de Tarapacá %V 13 %P 47–55 %G eng %U https://scielo.conicyt.cl/scielo.php?pid=S0718-13372005000100006&script=sci_arttext %R http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-13372005000100006 %> http://nil.fdi.ucm.es/sites/default/files/art06.pdf %0 Conference Paper %B Intelligent Virtual Agents (IVA 2003) %D 2003 %T Steve meets jack: the integration of an intelligent tutor and a virtual environment with planning capabilities %A Gonzalo Méndez %A Rickel, Jeff %A Angélica de Antonio %X In this paper, we describe how we have integrated Steve, an intelligent tutor based on Soar, and HeSPI, a human simulation tool for planning and simulating maintenance tasks in nuclear power plants. The objectives of this integration were to test Steve’s flexibility to be used in different applications and environments and to extend HeSPI to use it as a virtual environment for training. We discuss the problems encountered and the solutions we have designed to solve them. %B Intelligent Virtual Agents (IVA 2003) %I Springer %C Kloster Irsee, Germany %P 325–332 %8 09/2003 %@ 978-3-540-39396-2 %G eng %U https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-540-39396-2_54 %R https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-540-39396-2_54 %> http://nil.fdi.ucm.es/sites/default/files/paperiva03.pdf
